The Last Giant...
Craig is one of the legendary big tuskers still alive. In fact, at 53 years old, this elephant bull is the elephant with the largest tusks in the world today. The weight of one tooth is estimated to be about 70 kg.
It took me about three years of research before I knew where to find this majestic animal. Since then, I have visited him several times in Amboseli, on the border of Kenya and Tanzania.
Craig is one of the highlights in my wildlife career. I cannot describe the feeling, when he stands in front of me with his 6500 kilograms, or when I lie at his feet to capture him in the best possible way. His strength, beauty, and primal epicness create awe and wonder. And now he does the same in this beautiful living room.

Craig is een van de legendarische big tuskers die nog leven. In feite is deze olifanten stier, met een leeftijd van 53 jaar, de olifant met de grootste slagtanden ter wereld op dit moment. Het gewicht van één tand wordt geschat op ongeveer 70 kg.
Het heeft me ongeveer drie jaar onderzoek gekost vooraleer ik wist waar ik dit majestueus dier kon vinden. Sindsdien ben ik hem verschillende keren gaan opzoeken in Amboseli, op de grens van Kenya en Tanzania.
Craig is één van de highlights in mijn wildlife carrière. Ik kan het gevoel niet beschrijven, wanneer hij met zijn 6500 kilogram voor me staat, of wanneer ik aan zijn voeten lig om hem op de best mogelijke manier in beeld te brengen. Zijn kracht, schoonheid en zijn oeroud episch karakter zorgen voor ontzag en verwondering. En dat doet hij nu ook in deze prachtige woonkamer.
